CarriersEdge and Viewnyx Take Driver Quality Improvement to the Next LevelApril 11, 2008 – MARKHAM / OTTAWA, ON – Viewnyx, a driving safety service provider, and CarriersEdge, the leading provider of online driver improvement systems, announced today that they have entered into an agreement that will see fleet customers benefit from a combined suite of continuous driver safety and quality improvement services. As well as giving in-cab warnings for un-intentional lane departures, Viewnyx’s camera-based Lookout system identifies high-risk drivers and isolates their problem driving behaviours, providing video clips to identify and correct habits. CarriersEdge provides online training, testing and reporting tools that allow fleets to identify gaps in driver knowledge and close those gaps without sacrificing mileage or driver home time. Under the agreement, the CarriersEdge driver development service becomes available as a bundled service offering with Viewnyx’s Lookout collision warning and driving analysis system.
