Marsh Canada Launches Online Driver Improvement System

TORONTO, ON - May 21 2009 - Marsh Canada Limited, the Canadian operation of Marsh Inc. the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today unveiled an online driver training system designed specifically to help its fleet customers improve the overall quality of their drivers. With a focus on helping improve overall loss ratios, the Marsh Driver Improvement System provides a full range of online driver training programs, baseline testing and analysis, and complete tracking of all activities.

The Marsh system, powered by CarriersEdge, includes training modules covering fundamentals, such as safe driving practices, hours of service, vehicle inspection, and dangerous goods, along with custom Marsh-specific content, such as cargo security awareness and driver behaviour assessment. Completed courses can be applied towards the Humber College Certificate in Small Business Management for the Trucking Industry, offering fleets college credits for their drivers in addition to improved fleet safety.

"Ongoing driver training is a key component of an effective risk management strategy, but every day we see the challenges our clients face in trying to deliver that training without disrupting operations," comments Greg St. Croix, a vice president of Risk Consulting at Marsh Canada. "We are always looking for ways to help clients overcome those challenges, and this program provides a powerful, cost-effective way to do that."

"We've been working with Marsh for more than two years, and we're always impressed with their dedication to serving their customers", added Mark Murrell, president of CarriersEdge. "The Marsh Driver Improvement System offers fleets an outstanding opportunity to improve safety and overall business performance, and we're very excited to be working with Marsh to deliver it."

The Marsh Driver Improvement System will be offered initially to new clients, as well as during the annual renewal for existing clients. In addition, fleets interested in participating immediately can do so by contacting their local Marsh client executive.
