CarriersEdge Celebrates Fifth Anniversary With Exponential Growth Through Recession

MARKHAM, ON - November 24, 2010 - CarriersEdge, the leading provider of online driver improvement tools, today celebrated the fifth anniversary of its launch in the Canadian marketplace, serving out more than 100,000 training modules to drivers across the country. Originally launched in the fall of 2005 with a basic set of safety and compliance titles, CarriersEdge now includes more than 40 modules, in English and French, covering both Canadian and U.S. regulations and industry best practices.

"We're delighted to see so many Canadian fleets integrating CarriersEdge into their training programs and we're extremely pleased to celebrate five years of serving the industry", said Mark Murrell, President of CarriersEdge. "We’ve been growing steadily at about 70% year-over-year through the recession, and most of that has come from referrals and recommendations. As we continue to expand the library with more titles – like the recently released Winter Driving course – we expect that growth to continue."

The CarriersEdge online driver improvement system includes training modules covering hot topics such as defensive driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection, and dangerous goods, along with professional development topics like owner-op business skills, driver wellness, and fuel efficiency.
